This holiday begins in Southern Africa, where the wildlife takes centre stage. Head out on game drives through Chobe National Park, cruise the river in search of elephants and antelope and experience the sheer scale of Victoria Falls as the water crashes into the gorge below. There’s also time to slow things down aboard the Royal Livingstone Express, enjoying dinner as the train makes its way through the African bush.
Then it’s on to Cape Town, where you’ll board Azamara Onward and swap safari drives for life at sea. The voyage follows Africa’s Atlantic coastline to Namibia before continuing to far-flung St. Helena, Cape Verde and the Canary Islands. From there, Morocco, Gibraltar and Spain bring a change of pace, with historic cities, local flavours and plenty to explore along the way.
