This extraordinary adventure will take you on a whirlwind exploration of the Silk Road, delving into the age-old legacies, vibrant bazaars, architectural marvels and warm hospitality that define this untouched corner of the world.

Starting in Turkmenistan's capital, Ashgabat, explore marble monuments and gold statues, and get up close with the legendary Akhal-Teke horses before flying north and crossing into Uzbekistan. Wander the walled city of Khiva, where ancient lanes and turquoise-tiled minarets echo tales of camel caravans and bustling bazaars, then discover the Holy City of Bukhara with its mighty Ark Fortress and local artisan workshops. In Samarkand, take in the iconic Registan Square and the Gur-e Amir Mausoleum, and savour a lunch of freshly prepared plov at a local master's house. Board the high-speed bullet train to Tashkent, where Soviet-era metro stations feel more like a museum than public transport. Cross into Tajikistan and wind through Dushanbe, the ancient Hisor Fortress and the Silk Road city of Khujand before heading into Kyrgyzstan's breathtaking mountain landscapes. Build a yurt in Kyzyl Tuu Village, spend a night at Lake Issyk-Kul and meet a golden eagle hunter at dawn. Conclude in Kazakhstan, passing through the magnificent Charyn Canyon before arriving in Almaty for a group farewell dinner.
